Project life : Crops for better soil

The Crops for Better Soil project brought together 20 farmers with marginal dryland in 4 autonomous communities (Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Navarra, and Aragón) for 5 years to help them transition to organic agriculture.
Results:
Investing in soil quality improvement not only had a significant impact on crop yields (and therefore profitability for farmers), but also on water retention in the subsoil and an improvement in biodiversity in the area.
